Crawlspace on inaccessible will end your run
A crawlspace spawned under a rock on that inaccessible island in that one room where there's a minecart track riding around it. The idea is that you time the shooting of the tnt inside the cart júst right, so that the bottom rock makes a nice path that the player can walk over or something (even though usually the path is still blocked on the other end).

Anyways, none of that interesting gameplay matters because Edmund can't code for ♥♥♥♥ and the tnt invariably blows up at the wrong moment. So I used a Hanged Man card to access the island, and entered the crawlspace. Now when I went back out of the crawlspace, the card's effect had ended, getting me stuck on that dumb ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ island.

Either don't have run-breaking crawlspaces spawn on those islands, or be smart enough to allow players to fly out of a crawlspace. It's not a Curse Room situation where the it's your own fault if you die. Edmund McRetard basically made a run-ending trap here, not surprising with the ♥♥♥♥ job he did on Bumbo and his recent posts where he seems to hate his fans for criticising his ♥♥♥♥♥♥ attitude. Maybe the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ attitude has to do with fecophilia, who knows

thats kinda bad, but still you should use ur Brain i guess?
If you use a One-Time-Flight which ends when u leave the Room, in what world u thougt u still have Flying when you get out of the Crawlspace?

Would a quick-save spawn you at a door in this case?

Yes it does. Edmond intentionally made sure that you respawn next to a door just for situations like this one.

no. if you quit and rejoin, you're teleported to where you entered the room from, which in this case is the crawlspace

Oh no, what a nightmare.
Game dropped from 10/10 to 0/10 in an instant!

Pro tip: Close the game by using task manager to end the .exe to basically mimic a crash. When this happens it puts you at a soft save state from when you first entered the floor. Better than losing the run though.

Other than that though, it was entirely your own fault. Edmund doesn't do any programming either as far as I know, so all you're doing is blaming the man behind the game's ideas on your (quite frankly embarrassing) mistake. With a game this large, you can't expect it to be flawless with such niche issues.

Regardless of whether or not it was smart to do it, if you design a game in way that you CAN be stuck like that, it's bad game design.

It's about knowing the mechanics. If you know the card is one time use and you'll reset on entering a new room then you'll know not to do this. You can also blow yourself up with tnt in red dead if you're not smart about it, but I guess thats just bad game design too.

the game shouldn't care about where the rock is. you destroy a rock, the game checks if there's a crawlspace. yes or no. that's all.

LoL
But could it be possible that you got yourself in that situation? On your own? Like floating to a place you can't escape?
Frankly, if that happened to me I would be mad at myself, not at the developer

Wow, thats like not the same, at all.
If you can get stuck without escape, and not even able to die, only to restart, yes, it IS bad game design. If something kills you, thats a whole different story. Being hard stuck is never supposed to happen. When you die you are NOT hard stuck. Make sense?
In your example, the TNT would have to send you flying to some place you cannot escape from ever.

I disagree. If you use a flight item to get into a crawl space on an island that only lasts for that room then it's your own fault if you get stuck. All he had to do was think "hmm oh wait hanged man will end if I enter that and ill be stuck there", it's his own fault and not the design of the game.

Yeah of course "Edmund can't code for ♥♥♥♥" he is not the coder of the game/DLC, Kilburn and folks at Nicalis are you ignorant fool. Also that choice was extremely dumb and you should blame yourself, I guess you are one of those guys who needs "Do not eat" warning on stuff like detergent. I am not saying game is perfect and there are 0 flaws in some mechanics but this one is on you.
