SPOILER!! Thoughts on the final boss?
Personally way to much for me. I don't think i will ever beat this let alone with the lost etc.

Probably the best fight in the game. Long, but with a lot of different phases, and you appear to get Holy Mantle and Wafer by default when you start the Beast fight after Dogma to make up for the length. Also none of the attacks are too difficult or unfair to dodge (except maybe Death’s waving skull attack, I struggle with that one) while still giving a good amount of tension.

Dogma Phase 2 is probably my favorite portion of the fight. I love that attack where he shoots lasers in all directions and you need to stand between the glowing lines as they spin around.

Which final boss exactly? Original post is ambiguous. :dip:

liked the 2d segment.
totally out of the left field, kinda reminded me of those old spaceship games that you got from cereal boxes as cds / demos

Depends on the boss. All are great. One is beaten easily first try, the other maybe second try. Die a couple of times, learn the patter, and it's fine. Delirium is more difficult due to sheer speed and randomness.

Imho they are well made boss fights with fair mechanics. I am not good enough yet to dodge every single attack but i think its very possible to learn after a couple tries. At the moment i still only go for them when i got quite good items but i guess its possible to learn to reliably beat them on a mediocre run.

Lost is different topic.
Guess psy fly would pretty much win the battle against mother.
Against beast though... skill, luck and a massively OP built i guess.

I feel like I could actually beat The Beast as The Lost with enough attempts, wheras I don't think I'll ever do Lost v. Delirium without Gnawed Leaf + Hands-off damage.

Yup, the beast is a very fair fight, it's a contest of endurance mostly.

I have absolutely no idea how to dodge dogma's homing brimestone. If he uses it my chances of beating the beast drop massively.

I also think its lame that if you don't move instantly you take damage at the start.

Try walking away from it as slow as possible instead of as fast as possible.

i usually just stand still and move away from it a little bit if it gets closer to me, works most of the time for me

Its hard to explain but it starts in the cardinal directions and then slowly moves towards you. Start standing diagonally from him and slowly adjust yourself so you can still avoid the moving laser but not so much as to put yourself directly in the line of fire of his brimstone in the other direction.

Ironically my first lost run in repentance ended up a beast win. I did get lucky on broken stopwatch slowing the last fight, but still, was very doable

i just "cheesed" it because i got the occasion to, i was doing a run with azazel to unlock the B-variant, but already had a beast kill, but managed to drop a missing poster, i literally threw myself in the lava as it was dying and got the kill as lost

I will give you one of the best advices you will hear here. NEVER TAKE PUNCHING BAG if you plan to go there. It can be run ender, especially with lost.
