Please remove trapped chests from tainted lost's runs
This is the second time I lost a very good run because of a stupid chest that popped spikes on me.
Make them at least auto-trigger when spawned. Dying this way is really annoying and not fun whatsoever.

maybe take <1 second to look at the chest before you run into it

This only happens to people who refuse to acknowledge that mimic chests exist. Seriously, if you can't be bothered to stop just short of "normal" chests just in case then you deserve to get hit by the spikes.

I find this unnecessarily annoying having to look at a tiny blood splatter when nearly every room spawns a chest and you are plowing through all of them.

Honestly I don't mind them on any other character, including normal Lost, but here it can be just rage inducing. You can all just say "just stop for a while it's not that hard". Well do YOU stop every time to look at the chest when you are on a god run nearly speedrunning through the game? I highly doubt it.

Mimic chests have a different sprite! If you look at the bottom right corner of the chest, a mimic is colored in red while a regular chest is gray on all four corners. Also it automatically pops if you get close to it!

Best of luck on your Tainted Lost runs

EDIT: Posted my reply before you did yours.

I see you already know how to distinguish regular chests from mimics, so I don't really see a problem. Yes, I do in fact stop to check all gray chests in Lost runs, it is the Lost after all. If you are at a point where every room spawns a chest (high Luck, endgame) you probably no longer need them and can skip the loot altogether.

On a one hit character? Yes, yes I do.

Wait 'til you beat Mega Stan as T.Lost. ;)

I lost a Tainted Lost run to a mimic chest because there were bomb pickups on top of the chest blocking the red spot, so I couldn't tell it was a mimic.

I wish they were more obvious looking like the Haunted Chests are, that's all.

Yes, I do. The whole point of The Lost is that you still have to be careful no matter how broken your build is, but I do that even with regular characters out of what's basically paranoia.

Absolutely yes. Are you kidding? It takes literally a millisecond to identify a mimic or haunted chest, and when playing as the Tainted Lost, you have to be extremely careful at literally all times. Why wouldn't you take that instant to check before mindlessly opening chests that you know have the chance to hurt you, when playing as a character that can die in one hit? Don't play recklessly just because you're on a god run. It's so easy for even the strongest runs to suddenly end when you're playing as Tainted Lost.

Don't act as if the game was not trying to screw the players on every single player. Sometimes caution is just NOT enough.

if taking like 1 second to look at chests is gonna make you late for boss rush you probs weren't gonna make it anyways

I agree with what people are saying here, but I personally don't see how mimic chests add to the game. I would prefer if they were gone, honestly

That can be said about ANYTHING after "Everything is terrible" ... "buffs".

How about the new enemies that don't telegraph their entrance after you complete a room and pop up underneath you killing you or the orbiting flies that stick to your character, brush up against impassable terrain and kill you shortly after 'joining' you?
