i spended to the donate machine 999 coins and it exploded at the next run the donate machine was at 0 again and i heard you get the keeper charakter when you do this but i didnt get him

You need to donate a 1000 coins to the GREED machine in Greed Mode, not the donation machines found in the shop.

if you donate when its at 999 it explodes and gives you around 10 dimes or so because it can't go past 999. I think most people who don't know about this end up exploding their machine. Once you hit 999 its best to start bombing it in future runs to make use of the exchange of bombs for coins. Once it blows up from the 1,000th coin it resets completely.

Also the keeper is specifically from the GREED donation machine. You have to win greed mode and donate money at the end to unlock the keeper slowly by blowing up the greed donation machine.

Once you've exploded the Greed Donation Machine, is there any reason to fill it back up again? (Apart from ... pride?)

I've gotten all the unlocks and the Keeper. But I'm trying to get al my Greedier Completion Marks. So, still running Greed runs ... but do I need to try to save money to pump into the machine at the end?

Yep, once you've unlocked the keeper it's better to spend all of your money before you fight ultra greed

I just beat greedier twice and haven't gotten a red completion mark for those characters. Am I missing something?

If you are using the Clicker item, you will unlock a Completion Mark for the character you rerolled into before winning the game, instead of the one you started playing with initially.

If you died with the Ankh, you will respawn as Blue Baby and all further Completion Marks will be checked towards him. If you picked up Judas' Shadow you will respawn as (Dark) Judas after you die and all further Completion Marks will be checked towards him. Lazarus' Rags will also respawn you as (Risen) Lazarus and you will be filling out the post-it note for him instead of the character you started out with.

Dying while holding the Missing Poster trinket will also respawn you as The Lost (if you have him unlocked) and Completion Marks will be counted towards his post-it note.
