Slow area effects on The Beast fight

Why they are so bad in that fight? Particularly against beast fire attack and Ultra Famine.
For the ones that don't know what happen, let me explain: That fight spams a lot of shots, some of these shots only disappear after reaching out of the screen. So, if you have a slow area effect (like the ones created by Censer or Night Light), these shots become slow, taking more time to reach out of the screen and disappear - but at the same time, the enemy you're fighting will constantly spam shots at you, trapping you in an endless amount of slow shots that are almost impossible to avoid.
"So just dont take these items!" I know you'll all say that, but remember that Curse of the Blind exists, and yeah, this is what happened to me in at least 3 runs I was focusing ​on the Beast.
Don't you guys think a fix would be good for these items effects while on this fight? No need to be something like "turn ♥♥♥♥ into gold", but at least a disable in their effects while on The Beast fight to avoid them being a guaranteed ticket to die.

So... "Just don't take blind items" then?

Changing or disabling an item's effects for just a single fight (or any specific part of the game) wouldn't make sense to me.

Nah, Angel room items are too good to be left.
And I know, sound ridiculous to change/disable something just for one fight, but is sad to retry an entire The Beast focused run just because you got unlucky and taked one of those items.
