Im at the cathedral and i just found a trap door. i f i take it do i get to fight mega satan? Any advice?

no. trap doors in cathedral lead to crawl spaces (small rooms with items and pickups). you need the Polaroid and the two key pieces to access mega Satan

mega Satan is fought in the chest after the cathedral. the two key pieces open the door to the fight in the starting room

There's no reason not to, because it doesn't even lead out of the Cathedral. Are you seriously all the way up to Mega Satan without having encountered a Crawl Space?

Gonna be honest. i havent played in 5 years amd never fought mega satan. now im at the cathedral and i just found the trap door and i dont know what a crawl space is

You're good. If there is a rope ladder leading down it's a crawlspace or maybe black market (the latter of which I haven't seen in a LONG while), but you won't fight Mega Satan yet. That comes after.

if its got a ladder then its a crawl space, if its just a hole then it skips to the next floor.

it wount unlock mega satan tho. you need both key pieces to fight him
