Rock bottom is literally the best item in the game

that barely matters, point is there are tons of exploits to get won runs with just this item. you can press ctrl twice as the forgotten and just coast through the whole run. Eve just needs heart pickups to hit insane damage. getting card pickups can mean you get get magic mush without much luck

That's great but sacred heart is a won run on every character. Getting a strength card is good at first for rock bottom, but it just means that your next damage up won't do anything. With sacred heart however, your next damage up is guaranteed to be huge and while sacred heart is rare, rock bottom may as well not even exist when it comes to natural spawning.

edit: also you're just lying if you tell me that you'd take rock bottom over tech x most of the time

i would cause tech x is boring af. rock bottom is the best item because it's all about game knowledge and lets you fight for advantage through creativity instead of just handing a win to you like tech x does

the strongest item in the game is epic fetus but that item sucks. to me strongest doesn't equal best. secret rooms are also one of my biggest complaints with repentance because you'll never get to see any of the really creative and powerful items just because items never show up in secret rooms and how they bloated that pool to make sure you'll never see them even if you find an item
