I LOST ALL MY ACHIEVEMENTS

i put SO much time and effort into this game and got EVERY ACHEIVEMENT for afterbirth plus and started on the ones in rpentance, and i wake up this morning and i LOST ALL OF THEM EXCEPT FOR THE MOST RECENT 4. EXCUSE ME?!?!

Open the secrets menu in game, under the stats page. It should sync it back up.

It's a new feature in the DLC. Taking too long on Greedier mode or dying too many times deletes your Steam achievements. Definitely an interesting design choice, but Edmund's vision is fulfilled.
Jokes aside, pretty sure it's not known what causes it yet. It just... happens.

Someone on a Reddit thread claimed that it's a Steam cloud sync error which can be triggered by a crash, an abrupt closing of Steam, shutting down your PC without closing Steam, really any number of things.

Would make sense to me but don't know if it's true.
