wiki says
"Double tapping a direction makes Isaac quickly dash in that direction."
so, it definitly dosnt triggers on its own. it is the users fault for double tapping in a direction which ... to be fair really often happens in some situations xD.
You never had to double tap to use something. If there were more and more consistent, you eventually would get used to them.
This just isn't the case for me anyhow, as someone above mentioned it seems to be a controller thing. I quite literally did not double tap at most points as it was dashing me into every which possible way. Will be spawning Mars in to test on a keyboard tomorrow
Yeah this might be it, will test this out
It was happening when I was moving moving analogue stick, and I made 100% sure I was not "double tapping" here, so I guess it's a controller bug
Well at least with plan C I have the option of whether I would like to die or not
On a more srious note idk what kind of idiot a dev has to be to introduce double tapping directions to a bullet hell game where quite often you have to make small movements in the same direction to dodge or keep aligned. The mind boggles.
Why can't there be an option to assign a key to "double-tap" use items...?
Could also use inner child to revive in the same room.
I quite liked the idea someone else had on here of putting the Mars double dash onto the fire button instead of the move button. That seems like it would work better
I was thinking it could be moved as an active item in the consumables slot, but even there, it headbutts with the tainted characters.
another option would be the Ctrl key + direction, or even the Shift key. Even that would be fine by me, since this is a pseudo-passive item, that considering its cooldown acts more like a recharging single use active item.
