Dads note / A strange door ? how to get it to show up.

having beaten mother/the witness on Samson i then unlocked tainted issac and beat dogma+ and have been trying to unlock tainted Eeve. I am not having the strange door appear though? do i have to beat the witness on each character before the door shows up for them? if i take alt paths does it change things?

the door only opens on depths 2 or equivalents, not in the alt path, you only need to kill mother once for it to appear on every run after that

No, but the Strange Door only appears on (Dank)Depths II/Necropolis II's (edit: or their XL variants) starting room and nowhere else.
Are you trying to get in from Mausoleum, perhaps? The door won't show up on those floors.

I have beaten mom before and everything and teleported out of the mom fight to go to the door but when I look for the strange door in dank depths 2 its not there. idk what I'm doing wrong

Have you defeated Mother down the alt path yet? Because if not, the door won't appear
