Is there ANYTHING I can do to make Jacob & Esau easier to get anything unlocked with?

Honestly, I am so sick and tired of trying to reach The Chest with this duo legit. Balancing all the items and their health is a nasty thing I'm not having an easy time with. I want that Birthright so badly, but I don't have any idea on how to make playing as them easier.

And I can't find any mods that work with Repentance, so I can't just make myself invincible. Just saying.

As far as Jacob & Esau are concerned, there's 2 co-op babies (and I've heard reports that those don't even work right now), Mega Mush which requires every non-Tainted character fully completed including The Lost (haha good luck with that), and Death Certificate which requires the same with Tainted characters included too (haha get outta here with that bull****)

From my experience, it's easier to just stack all damage items on Jacob. Also be conscious of transformations like bookworm, conjoined and spun and take the required items on the correct character. Preferably Jacob. Stack everything on Jacob.

Why? All I get is a co-op baby for doing it all on hard.

And again, I've heard reports that special co-op babies are currently inaccessible. With the wiki claiming "effect unknown" for the new ones despite the way Solomon Baby is listed making it pretty clear that it's the obligatory "works like the character who unlocks it" baby, I'm inclined to believe the reports in question.
