Why there is a ??? (Blue baby) character?

Can't have red health. Has a really bad active item and base stats are the same as Isaac's. Why does this character exist?

That's like asking "Why does The Lost exist?" It's a challenge character, to test your skills and can give you some pretty good unlocks + is a part of the story.

Well, in difference of ???, The Lost can have devil deals for free.

Well, in difference of ???, The Lost can have devil deals for free.

But it still dies in 1 hit/2, does that not make up for the fact that it has less health than blue baby? But you still think it's better than blue baby?

If you dont like blue baby, just get D6 for isaac, that's mostly what people play him for anyway.

Technically it has 1.05x damage multiplier, so it's not as Isaac.

lost only dies if you donno how to use him.

just hide in rocks and shoot the mobs/bosses. also free devil deals

??? (Blue Baby) is a reference to some old flash games Edmund made on Newgrounds. He was also the original hardest character from Flash Isaac before Rebirth added The Lost.

I remember he was hard in wrath of the lamb, good ol days. Now he's just a fun character that has huge advantage when you reach the polaroids

It wasn't that bad in AB+ but now with the reduce drop of soul hearts, it became more challenging again. And you can have devil deals, even tho I had better results skipping them for angel deals

Several characters are challenges. This is one of them.
The game is hard and you have to get better to progress. Shocking, isn't it?

I think its important to remember that ??? was one of the earlier characters before characters varied an insane amount. Back in the day ??? was essentially just a hard character.
