What happens with Land based Familiars VS Beast?

Items drop to the bottom, and using Mr. Fetus bombs are impossible because of the change in dimensions against him.

So what happens with Leech, Bumbo, Spider Mod, and other walking land based familiars? Does Leech still latch onto the Harbingers and Beast?

yup, they're useless for the horsemen, but they can still hug the beast since she is in the lava

bombs explode on contact in 2d fights, so with good throws you can deal damage, and with some good damage and bomb upgrades it shouldn't be too bad for the most part

Usually I keep the bombs to spam them during the first chase in the beast, to skip to the easier part faster, as well as not needing to aim since she's moving, making the bomb directly fall on her

Yep, they seem to all fall. I had Leech and it dropped to the bottom and did nothing.

Also all of the Blue Spiders drop straight down uselessly.

pretty much any ground based effect is affected by gravity in that fight unfortunately. dr fetus is suuuuper hard to use in that fight without range for example

lmao the Spider Mod floats too.

Do the items that fall completely disappear, or can you take damage and pick them up? I was too scared to try it, coins and small recharges dropped down but I can't see if they disappear, or if they are behind the lava effect.

Also all projectiles with physics during sidescrolling are pretty bad. Ipecac, Haemolacria, Dr. Fetus, etc.

I've had Dr.Fetus, Tech-X, Monstro's Lung, Brimstone Bombs, high fire-rate, but very short ranged and still gave up and blew myself up on purpose before even fighting mom, after i've realized, that this isn't going to kill The Beast as Tainted Lost, even with Deck of Cards. At least the synergy looked cool.

Yeah Dr. Fetus is terrible for Beast. You had a very cool synergy though!

I had a "scatman" run going with ??? where i had Dirty Mind and an army of dips only to watch them all fall into the lava at the beginning of the boss fight. very sad. they were still bouncing around down there so if the boss went downwards they would hit but otherwise his main mechanic of me spawning poops (The Poop + 9volt) was completely useless in that fight which is a real shame. I it would be nice if gravity affected builds like this could be balanced some way
