Tainted lazarus strategy?

Going for dead god rn. everything has been fine and dandy until I got to tainted lazarus. He feels like the hardest character in the game rn for me. for those that have finished his completion notes, whats the strategy here?

T. Jacob has it's advantages, T. Laz is just plain unfair 99% of the time.

Just curious as to how the items will be split up. Would 1 side get all the items or would it be 50/50?

My strategy is, I'm borderline considering cheating to unlock their crap and uninstalling/honestly never playing again. Great fun with the dlc up until laz and jacob, and it's just sucked all enjoyment out of the game for me. I've done about half of their marks, greed mode was especially annoying. Honestly the answer is just luck for a decent build, there really isn't much strategy I've found. You can take advantage of the swap for items obviously, and save items/batteries etc until after you clear a floor, and build like that. I usually keep track of the rooms and try to anticipate going back and forth for stuff as required, when swapping to the appropriate flip, but it greatly extends the run time, so it makes boss rush/hush that much more difficult to attain, and you still need a lucky run ON TOP of that. A lot of the t characters just take the successful item pool combinations and diminish it even more, and laz is one of the worst.

I did Tainted Laz legit runs for everythin but Greedier, I used T Cain with clicker for that because I couldn't be bothered.

Best strategy for Tainted Laz is to try and get both sides with a semi-decent run, focus most of the early game dmg and tears ups on Alive Laz cause dead Laz has much better stats.
If you get Star of Bethlehem on one of them it can carry your run really hard and you can just give every item to the other character.

Honestly best way to win is maximize every floor as much as you possibly can. Most of my runs where I won were almost an hour long because you just have to take literally every single opportunity you can get to win as this character.

Hardest achievements for me by far were Boss Rush and Hush because you have to go fast and you usually end up really underpowered when you get there. I got Boss Rush by getting lucky with Gnawed Leaf and potato peeler for tier 4 meatboy on Alive Laz and then IBS on Dead Laz which just hard carried me in boss rush with the Hallowed Creeps and constant bombs. Most of the other achievements weren't that bad if you just take your time and pray for good items.

Always go angel deals also and make sure to have Flip ready every time you enter the boss room. Try and keep some uncleared rooms around when fighting the boss so you can use them to Flip if you burn the charges but need an item on the other character.

Like Stefan said, do everything you can to get stacked on each floor and give most of the damage ups to Alive Laz (Dead Laz has a x1.5 damage multiplier so he doesn't need as much). I personally had much better luck with devil deals because I often would have to wait several floors running around with base damage just to find something like breath of life in the angel room. In my experience, most of my runs were relatively weak due to having to balance the items between each character so I really had to sweat my ass off to squeak out some of the wins, but those runs were the most satisfying to win.

Greedier with Tainted Lazarus was one of the most frustrating things I've ever done in my life. Every run I was just too weak to kill enemies quick enough so I would either have to get swarmed by a bunch of enemies or keep pressing the button and dealing damage to myself. I eventually ran out of patience and proceeded to take the easy way out with the classic Tainted Cain clicker strategy, but I happened to change to Tainted Forgotten TWO RUNS IN A ROW, softlocking the game, so I gave up on that. Thankfully after that I was lucky enough to find mega mush on the first floor so I just stomped on everything with Alive Laz while giving all the items to Dead Laz.

it does not even flip, it remains "alive" lazarus all the time
