You should buy a controller anyways because there *are* games that are a lot better with a controller, so why not just get one and try which you like more for Isaac?
It's really whatever you're more comfortable with. Like in my case I can't play Isaac worth a damn on controller.
IMHO it is much better playing using a controller.
For me, with my setup and proclivities, I prefer a controller for Isaac for sure; it gives movement speed and direction control, and the choice between face buttons and thumbstick for aiming tears is really quite effective depending on your run.
I think you'll get results of of whatever you choose OP, but I can definitely confirm for you that controller gamefeel won't let you down.
