why the ♥♥♥♥ did they add this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss into the game, just ended a nearly perfect ??? run, piss

AB+ was bad to the point they needed to hire modders (Pretty much Antibirth team) to literally fix it and make it better while pretending everything was all fine

To be fair, Matriarch is the only pretty balanced boss for the 4th chapter. The other ones are just laughably easy for that far point of the game.

I mean, there's Mr. Fred. I'd find Monstro harder than him.
Teratoma could easily be a Depths boss.
Lokii is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke as a boss for the 4rth chapter, let's be honest.
Bloat is already in Depths. It appears in Womb only because Nicalis is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy.
Only the Scolex could be a bit challenging but that's all.
Ah yes, there's also Sisters Vis. A boss that can do literally NOTHING throughout the entire fight because it has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up AI.

Edit, there's also Triachnid but he could also be easily a Depths boss.

Yeah Blind is definitely right. The reason some of you guys think it's bad design is because you're used to the game's other bosses being a cakewalk. Anything that has you put thought into what you're doing is apparently deemed bad or unfair. I can't wait for to Repentance kick the crap out of others and see them whine. Now I will say, Matriarch isn't perfect. The amount of fistuloids that are spawned is a bit much and some other things can use slight tweaking, but the boss is actually designed/placed a lot better than many others in the game.

My comment implies that it's a lazy design and being a pretty easy boss, hence stating I wouldn't complain about it.

Perhaps I should've noted it as my subjective perspective.

The overwhelming consensus is that the boss is pretty difficult. Although some overreact saying it's completely unfair as well as undeserving of being in the game. Some of it's attacks need to be nerfed, but I wouldn't call it super unfair or a horrible fight. Obviously matriarch is going to be really easy at a glance if you have a powerful build which commonly occurs in Afterbirth+ due to unbalanced shops and easy game breaks. On it's own though with a mediocre or bad run it's very difficult compared to other bosses in the game, especially in the current floor. Outside of that, I don't know where you're getting it being a pretty easy fight from.
