!Platinum God! achievement quirk (must unlock Clear Rune!)

So I've been grinding TBOI: Repentance for the last month or so to get the Platinum God achievement (not the Real one just the ordinary Platinum God) Yeah, I know, I'm late to the party lol. Anyway, yesterday at last I found the last three items I needed to unlock it: Undefined, Missing No. and Stop Watch. I had had everything else already unlocked and found, just according to the Wiki and numerous guides, that is: every ending, secret, challenge and item in vanilla Rebirth, minus the Lost unlocks (since the Lost unlocks only necessary for The Real Platinum God, not the regular Platinum God).

Well, I didn't get my well deserved Platinum God. lol Even though I had everything done according to the guides, and, believe me, I checked them too many times, trying to figure out what went wrong - there was no platinum light at the end of my grinding tunnel. Needless to say, I was starting to get a little bit nervous...

Anyway, it turns out to get Platinum God you absolutely definitely need to unlock Clear Rune by completing Challenge 30 and subsequently collect it in a normal run. Even though it is not a vanilla Rebirth item (and neither is the challenge that unlocks it) and thus shouldn't be necessary to collect for Platinum God, some freaking genius developer decided to give it an unused ID from the vanilla Rebirth range of items, making it a must unlock item for this achievement.

I write this for general info, because the Wiki and many guides don't mention this fact.
Ok, now that I got Platinum God, I can go to sleep.

Here some precisions / correction about what you said.

Clear Rune and Blank Rune are TWO separate entities:
- Clear Rune is an active item copying your rune in the card/pills/rune slot, and as you said, take an unused ID in the 3rd page of items. Rebirth items are the first 3-4 pages of the items list so you still need it even if it a repentance item.
- Blank rune is a Rune.
--> The challenge 30 unlock both blank rune and clear rune

And if you write this in Google : "isaac repentance platinum god", the second link (Reddit : Can you still get Platinum God in repentance by just completing all the rebirth achievements?) give you all the detail you need.

Yeah, that's where I got the idea that I really need to unclock that damn Clear Rune. You'd think with such a huge community a dedicated wiki page or a guide would have all the necessary information, but no, you have to read some random unconfirmed conversation on reddit (and need I say how much BS info there is on reddit?). lol

I actualy made this topic in hope that perhaps it will help someone in this situation in the future.

BTW, thanks for corrections, I edited the original comment. Yeah, Clear Rune and Blank Rune are two diferent entities, I don't want to misinform anyone.
