Bug with The Boomerang

In a specific run, whenever I used the boomerang it would only travel around 1 square of distance. I tried to pick up another active item and then pick it up again and that didn't fix it. I also tried to leave the run and re-enter it and that also didn't fix it.

The items I had were:
Ankh, Blood Bag, Number One, PJ's, Screw, Supper, YO LISTEN, and Mom's Heels.

I suspect it has something to do with the range down Number One gives but my range stat was at 5.20 during this time and it was eventually increased to 7.3 but the increase in range seemed to make little to no difference.

Number One does affect these type of items. Exactly the same happens with Eraser. It doesn't matter what the range stat says.
