bone hearts and rotten hearts

When Repentence came out and I started playing TBOI again the first couple of weeks I stambled a lot on bone hearts and rotten hearts. I remember, because I even went to TBOI Wiki to read about wtf do they do. But then something happenned, and for the last 3 weeks I haven't seen a single bone or rotten heart, despite playing the game 2-3 hours a day. Did they make them extremely rare or what? Not that it matters too much, I'm just curious.

I noticed that at the time of me writing this, you are yet to unlock The Forgotten and Rotten Hearts.
You might have run into those hearts whilst doing challenges or dailies.

Have you unlocked the forgotten yet? If not you won't see bone hearts in runs

You're right! I was doing many challenges the first week, that's why I saw so many funky hearts! Turns out I've yet to unlock them. Thanks for answer guys!
