the invulnerability against things that arnt multihits is almost 0
Holy Mantle has less invulnerability frames, meaning that certain attacks that can multihit will connect after popping mantle if, for some reason, you decide not to move out of them.
The nerf sucks, but even so, there has to come a point where you just need to be paying attention more, too. You can tell from the eyes of those fire flies in the mines which direction their cross-shaped fire is going to go. And when you know where they're going, it's very easy to dodge them, especially as the Lost, who can fly. You shouldn't get hit by it, and you definitely shouldn't be standing in it long enough to get hit by it twice. You're just not moving correctly, it sounds like. Or not being careful enough as the Lost.
As for Singe, why were you close enough to him for his death explosion to hurt you? He doesn't blow up instantly. You have a second to move out of range, and again, you can fly. Was that your first time fighting him? If you're sure you had mantle, that might have been a bug, and you should report it, but if that was an R Key run, it sounds more likely to me that you were loaded on items and cosmetic changes that prevented you from seeing clearly if you had Mantle or not, and it just turned out, when you were standing next to an exploding boss, that you uh... didn't have it. Not calling you a liar, just offering up a possible explanation.
In general, being on a good run is never an excuse to ever play carelessly as the Lost. If you want to find a mod that reverts Mantle back to what it was before, you have that option, I suppose, but the solution to your issue, at least for those two enemies in particular, is just be more careful.
