The Lost unlock glitched?

So, I just had an absolutely amazing run with Samson - I breezed to the first floors and eventually found a Missing Poster. Not having unlocked the Lost yet, I decided to keep a look out for a Sacrifice Room so I could finally unlock him after around 200 hours of playtime.

Long story short; I found a sacrifice room and died on the spikes while holding the missing poster. I somehow didn't unlock the Lost by doing this. Am I doing something wrong? Is my game glitched? I've all of the addons and am running the game on the newest version.

I'm honestly quite tilted atm cause I spent pretty long to get such an opportunity/run; Has anyone encountered the same issue? And are there any fixes to it?I'd appreciate any tips on this as I really don't know what to do.

To be sure:
List of things that prevent all kind of progress:
- Seeds (except a few special ones)
- Challenges (except for their reward obviously).
- Daily Runs.
- Reruns and Victory Laps (except for a few specific unlocks).
- Any active mod from the mod menu before Mom is killed once on that save (no matter what they do, other saves are irrelevant).
- Enabling the console before Mom is killed once on that save (even if you don't use it).
- Paranoid antivirus programs (or missing rights) preventing the game from creating/editing its save file.

Neither of those applies to me - Other archievement unlocks (like the "dross" archeievement that I got in the very same run triggered normally!

Alright, let's check for another common mistake then.
Sure you died on the spikes of a Sacrifice room? Those are the ones with spikes in the middle, not at the door (Cursed room).

(You probably realize I'm just trying anything to make sense of it now, haha.)

I see :D Yeah, I made sure to die in the sacrifice room on the central spikes - I even made sure to look out to not accidentally run into any flames or simmular hazards

I had a similar bug today. I did a run with eve with 0 unlocks. I went until the lamb and nothing unlocked. I then started another run and things unlocked normally.

Do you mean that the archievements that you unlocked in your previous run only started showing up after you defeated the lamb?

I mean if you did it legit and it just didn't unlock then why not just cheat

because that could mean the unlocks are bugged? if so why not post it here to see if they truly are bugged and have them fixed by the devs? not everyone wants to cheat.

i mean its clearly not a game bug because a million people unlocked the lost legit in repentance, myself included; the problem's on OPs side. even then, not once did I suggest that it wasn't glitched in my original comment, only a workaround to get it so that OP didn't completely waste his time. its hardly cheating if you did it legit and it just didn't work. not sure what your issue is.

what is YOUR issue? i said nothing wrong except simple facts. The unlock could be bugged. Just because others can unlock it doesn't mean it's not bugged. Bugs occur for plenty of reasons, like crashes. Sometimes they are consistent, other times they aren't. If something is bugged then why not report it so that the devs can fix it? like i said not everyone wants to cheat. Not everyone wants to use mods, or download a complete save file or anything of the sort. The simple fact that people are constantly complaining about their achievements not unlocking, being lost and whatnot surely must give you an idea that... NO IT IS NOT WORKING FOR EVERYONE AND SOMETHING IS WRONG! but what do you care? it worked for you so whatever right?

Must've struck a nerve - are you one of those purists who hates people who use any console commands at all? What I suggested was hardly cheating. Giving yourself the missing poster and dying in a sac room to get the lost and nothing else is hardly 1337 h4x0r material, especially when you did it legit and it didn't work. Genuinely cannot understand what makes you think me suggesting this in the first place was something worth seething over.

Nah, what I started with was a simple workaround for OP's time being wasted. Nice projecting though, I don't even use console commands myself.
