Can I buy repentance as a gift to a friend?

when I put it in my cart it only adds the dlc and I cant click "purchase as gift"

is there really no way to gift this to my friend ?

Not on Steam. LIke for AB+ you can probably buy a key elsewhere (like on HumbleBundle), but they don't seem to have them yet. Maybe only after release.

It's not Valve's fault. The reason is that the devs decided that, in order to prevent people from buying the DLC without the required other DLC, you can only buy them in this bundle format. And since the bundle has to take into account what you already own, you cannot gift it.

Is it dumb? Kind of. I sure wouldn't do it this way but I'm not the dev.

And yes, usually you can gift DLC, but usually DLCs don't have other DLCs as requisites.

That's probably not possible, but they could just ignore the requirement so people that buy/get gifted the DLC without having the others are simply out of luck. But that probably leads to a lot of complaints and refunds.

It is what it is and it probably won't change considering AB+ worked like that for years now.
You could also gift a Steam gift card (or just send them the code on it) so they can buy the bundle themselves.
