Crash on continue
Game crashes on Continue, just closes completely.
No mods have ever been installed.
Restarted PC.
Checked file integrity.
Reinstalled game.
Still crashing.

Had a 53 Eden streak, trying to beat my record before Repentance comes out. Anybody knows how to make it stop crashing? That or a way to cheat myself into a 53 win streak.

Alright, well, for future reference, I personally managed to make it work by starting the daily run, then leaving it. After that, the game didn't crash on Continue.

That sucks to hear. The Daily Run idea was the last one I had. Far as I can tell the save file is corrupted and stored in the cloud, so you can't really shake it off. Maybe try beating the Daily if you haven't already. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Try verifying the game files through steam, if that doesn't work, reinstall the game and check that all your drivers are up to date.

i just had this happen; steam was in offline mode; when i switched to online then i was able to continue with no problem. don't know why it suddenly did that today; half the time when i play isaac on PC steam is offline.

Having same issue, after i changed hdd i cant even start the game :steamsad:
I have validate
going offline and online.
restarting steam.

I think i fix it. uninstall the game, go to steam folder steamapps common, remove the existing files/foldier in The binding of isaac folder and then download the game again.

I managed to fix the problem on my end. First you turn off wifi then launch the game then press continue. After the run loads in, you exit the run and then exit game. Lastly turn on wifi and launch the game normally. Press continue and the crashing should stop.

turn off wifi > launch game > press continue > exit the run > exit game > turn on wifi > launch game > press continue > fixed!

Bro I just lost a tainted lost run with incubus and twisted pair conjoined I am MALDING. when I turned off mods the save just disappeared
