Afterbirth+ refuses to launch : /

Hi everyone !

Before the repentance update i used to play the game pretty regularly (every day or so), but since that update (where they allowed mods in the repentance dlc) i have completely been unable to play afterbirth+. When i try to open the game it just crashes without even showing me the title screen or anything else.

I have tried turning dlcs off and the game works if i play in afterbirth or rebirth but if the game tries to load my afterbirth+ save file it can't seem to do it.
I have tried turning mods off (i had a couple) and it doesn't change anything.
I'm thinking that my save file got corrupted or something else but i have no way of knowing.

Also, some quick info = i play on a mac and i have been unable to download the most recent update since i don't have enough space in my computer but this shouldn't be a problem since i was able to play the game just fine before.

Can someone help me with this problem or tell me how to extract my save file to see if it is what's crashing my game ? This is my last resort before i try to completely erase my old save file and i really wouldn't like doing that since i had a 50+ hours in the game.

Yeah it's a common problem, if you want to play Afterbirth+ you need to change the game's option file which can be found in Documents/My Games/Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ (On mac it uses a diffrent folder instead of My Games but I don't remmember how it was called exactly) after you find it you need to change the line EnableMods=1 to 0, after that the game should work but without mods. If you really want to play with mods the only way seems to be buying repentance for now.

It's not in the place where you instaled the game, it's stored outside of it. If you can't find it you can search your pc for a file named options, there shouldn't be many of them so you should find either the one for Afterbirth (in which case just open location and go back) or the one for Afterbirth+

Hello everyone !
I've managed to fix my problem, It was one of the mod i had installed that crashed my game, i don't know which one did that tho.
To fix the problem, i searched isaac in the mac finder and i opened a folder called Isaac Afterbirth +. There i deleted the folder with the mods information and i took out the persistent data (i don't know what that is lol).
Hope this can help someone else :)

Try deleting the "log.txt" file in "Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+", as well as the "Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ Mods" folder. Worked for me, hope this helps
