PHD and false PHD need a synergy!

Yeah it is pretty rewarding to find PHD in the shop, but if you made the gamble and picked the false PHD up, finding PHD afterwards feels kind of punishing because they cancel each other out :( Maybe make it so, that negative pills just increase strength without the negative effect? Or maybe they cancel each other out but every pill you encounter will be a horse pill?

I mean that wouldn't break the game, that dmg up is decreasing anyway the more pills you take. Or maybe you guys are more creative in developing a synergy, any ideas?

i did 2 victory laps and on my 3rd run i died and i lost my whole save file

There is a synergy, in that it removes the drawback of False PhD while retaining the benefits.

@heraldofopera so you mean, e.g. if a pill was a tears down, the same pill after false phd and phd is a tears up and dmg up pill? I didn't know that

No. If you have False PHD and PHD you get good pills and bad pills as normal, and the bad pills give the False PHD bonus on top of their negative effects.

It is a sinergy, but it is honestly probably not worth it unless you also have something that is generating pills, like Acid Baby.
