not reading my save?

I have two save files in my remote folder but when i open the game all my save files are empty its not even regarding as if something was there or corrupted just nothing

This assumes you have the Repentance DLC

Open

C:\Users\<YourName>\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Repentance\

Now you 2 options:

1 - Use the default savegame folder:
Back-up the files from the "remote"-folder, in case something goes wrong. Then remove the "rep_" part of their names and just copy them into the above folder. For example, if there's a file called "rep_persistentgamedata1.dat" change it to "persistentgamedata1.dat".

2 - Continues using "remote" for savegames:
Inside the above folder, open the "options.ini"-file and look for the line "SteamCloud=" and change it to SteamCloud=1, if it's set to something else. Create this line, if you don't see it.

dude you saved my life thank you i went into what i assume was the wrong documents folder and never could find the boir folder and here it is thanks man

Hi, sorry for resurrecting this topic two years later, but a friend of mine is experiencing the same issue. Did the solution provided by JellyPuff tamper with your achievements? He's only missing 10 and obviously he'd like to earn the remaining ones with his own save

the only way i can think of where saves may be gained is if you download a save that has the achievements unlocked already such as gettings a 100% save from somewhere and opening the game since achievements are mostly tied to item unlocks that game will see you have that item unlocked and will give you the achievement

neither option worked for me and i've been trying everything, my game just doesn't want to read them anymore :(

so i find solution for me maybe gonna help someone.
upper solution worked for me but only after i started game as administrator befor administrator start nothing help. so i dont know why it not read save file but when u strart game as an administrator it start to read save files. (GL HF)
