Edit: You might want to look into other reasons why the game feels worse. Maybe the frame rate is uneven or maybe you changed the camera panning for large rooms?
Well, there is a noticable difference in some circumstances. But yeah, I have a 144Hz monitor and basically never use anything but 60Hz, simply not worth it in 99% of cases.

I personally tried 144hz monitors TWO times and I ended up selling them again. It's a joke if you don't play casual FPS games and I hate casual FPS games
Here's an idea for you, Mr. Smarty-pants : connect your PC to a crappy 10 inches monochrome monitor and use it on a daily basis. No "meme", just pure raw performance, just how you like it.
