Is Keeper able to use the Alabaster Box?

I've seen this in a few of my keeper runs and have never bothered to pick it up. Does it allow for soul hearts to spawn and not be converted into flies while being held?

Nope, only items that directly give soul hearts can charge it like pj's.

That's unfortunate. I wonder why this wasn't considered for characters that convert health into something else.

You can also suck it up with the Void and once the Void is used again, it should proc Alabaster Box' effect, but only for that one time.

It's just the Keepers that have this problem, though? Bethany can outright use her existing soul charges on it, while The Lost can actually still pick up soul hearts for complicated reasons that also make Glyph of Balance detrimental for him.

But somehow black hearts won't work for him with Alabaster Box and Soul Locket won't do jack. Many post-Repentance interactions are too inconsistent.

You might can get it to work in co-op. I don't think hearts auto fly there.

Really though, it should just work off money for him. I know thats a bit easy, but he's also an only 1-2 hp character.

Same as picking up candy heart should let soul heart only character collect red hp.
