i touched this item bbut i didnt know what it do. so now the item will never appear again in the moms chest? how can i ggo to the other side?

There is another way. You need to go there more than once anyways.

It should still appear, don't listen to the wiki. I went through Home twice as the same character and got the red key again. I think it only disappears from Mom's chest (and is replaced with a random Mom related item?) once you use it to open the secret closet just before Mom's room and get the alt character :) .

I've not seen the Red Key appear in my usual runs so far, but I only unlocked it today.

edit: so apparently I was just lucky to get the Red Key again from Mom's chest

There is also a usable called cracked key. It works the same as Red key

Try dropping a trinket in a boss or item room on the way down and going where you left it on the way up.

yes, but i didnt use it to open the secret closet and the second time i went to the Home and open the purple chest a moms item appeared

First time when I've got to home, there was red key, but didn't use it. Now got there second time with eden and from the chest I've got lipstick instead.
So it can be random.

I guess I was really lucky to get the Red Key twice in a row then.

Just drop a trinket in any boss run before the mom's foot fight and it will turn into a cracked key when you return.
