[Need Help] Challenge #4 Locked despite meeting requirements

I currently go though all the challenges as i never bothered doing them before. However i found that challenge #4 "When Darkness falls" is locked for me, despite having eve unlocked and defeated moms heart multiple times, as well as it lives multiple times. I can see the achievement for the corresponding challenge on my steam page, yet the challenge is locked? Does anyone know a fix or know who i can turn to?

Nothing yet but my question is only 7h old, i emailed nicalis and asked on the TBOI Discord but i didnt get any responses as of yet

I have the same problem. I'm assuming this is a Repentance bug based on the recency of the complaints.

do you have sacrificial dagger unlocked ? ( blue baby kill as eve) since it's used in the challenge it could prevent it's unlock.

I dont, but that would neither explain why i got the steam achievement nor is it documented in any wiki. I will try unlocking the Razor Blade and Sac Dagger once i stop running into enemy shots and see if that helps.

@parker i dont know if its repentance based tbh, i never even once looked into the challenges before, could possibly have been locked since 2018 and i wouldnt know

After the last (?) update, the challenge is now unlocked for me, however the wiki also states different unlock conditions now. So i guess they probably forgot to keep the challenge unlocked for those who did unlock it under previous conditions.
