killed hush several times, no void

i killed hush 4 times and every time it's a chest after fighting him, i thought it was supposed to do that until i started looking this up, but apparently the sheol/cathedral ways are supposed to spawn, and their was no void portal at the top right, and i read that your supposed to kill mega satan as well and i did that at least once and still no void, in my achievements their is no "New Area" achievement, no hush in beastiary, and no "New Area" in Stats>Secrets.

you need to go to the door that appears after you kill hush.

For the void (top right of hush room), you need to defeat at least ONCE hush.
If you meet this requirements, then Void + sheol/chest will appear.

Do you have the marks for killing hush 4 times on your characters ? --> "some" (some coz they not all prevent) mods / the console / seeds can prevents you from unlocking the void / registering hush as beaten. Check if there is the "achievement blocked icon" ingame or if your mods are a problem by disabling them all and play normaly.

Defeat Mega satan is not a requirement to unlock the achievement " a new area has appeared" (to unlock the void).
Mega satan (and other bosses) up the chances of spawning a void portal after beating them (ONLY AFTER YOU UNLOCKED THE VOID !) so you don't have to kill hush everytime to go to the void (but luck dependant, you can see 3 portals to the void or none during your runs, that's why hush is the safe way to go the void 100% times)

From the sounds of it, the person is fully aware this is what's supposed to happen and complaining that it isn't what's actually happening.

Meaning your issue is you don't get any progress at all.

List of things that prevent all kind of progress:
- Seeds (except a few special ones)
- Challenges (except for their reward obviously).
- Daily Runs.

Problem solved : No mark = no progress registered = No void unlock

i'm not certain if i killed him without doing a victory lap, i'll try that then get back to you after I do so, thanks for you help so far :)

oh another thing, i have golden god and i think that required him being killed, but no other sign of me beating him has been shown to my knowledge

Golden God is a Rebirth unlock. Hush was added by Afterbirth.

it was the victory lap thing, i just beat him with no victory lap and i unlocked it, thank you for the help! :)
