Blue Baby having Bone Hearts?

I was playing with our boi and he got a Bone Heart. Is it useless for him? Because It doesn't fill the conteiner, but he grabs normal hearts as well?? Pls halp

Pretty sure this is a bug because i think it makes blue baby invincible since hes only programmed to ever use soul hearts. At least thats what i read on reddit :)

Bone Hearts are, well, not normal hearts. They will break if the player is damaged while a bone heart is empty.
Blue Baby is only prohibited froim using normal hearts. He can use Soul Hearts, Evil Hearts, and Gold Hearts. I'm not surprised he can use bone hearts too.

Personally, i doubt it's intended, since they can make him immortal. I guess it's glitched, because ??? was never meant to interact with red hearts in any way (he still can't with Bone Hearts, but a bone heart can be healed with other effects still). My guess is, that the ability for him to pick them up will be patched out eventually.

Blue Baby has an invincibility glitch involving Bone Hearts. Blue Baby can obtain Bone Hearts from either pickups or items. He can collect red hearts with this, but they will not fill the heart as intended. However, the Bone Heart can be filled from many sources that fully heal HP, such as the Sun card, Full Health pills, and potentially other fully healing items/effects. When Blue Baby has a Bone Heart filled like this, it can never be destroyed or damaged. Blood Donation machines can be used infinitely, same with Demon Beggars. All on-hit effects from items will still activate. For the most part, Blue Baby cannot die when this occurs.

Yes, but I tested and he can lose that heart, so we can guess it's just a bug :P

It's very weird to me that blue baby can't interact with red hearts. I'd have assumed they'd have implemented blue baby's health by converting red health containers into soul hearts on pickup, and the inability to interact with red hearts or lose them would be unnecessary.

What have intrigued me is that you cant refill your Bone Heart, it just hang there, empty.. :') That's why I was asking if its a bug, because it doesn't seems to me that this was on the programmers minds
