Stick to using your keyboard in the menu. And you shouldn't expect anything from your mouse except for the very few items that actually benefit from it (around 5 out of the hundreds in the game, rough estimation off the top of my head).
Ludovico Technique, Epic Fetus, Marked and Doctor's Remote can be precisely controlled by the mouse location.
Finger!, Analog Stick and Spear of Destiny can target any direction with the mouse, as they would with a controller stick (instead of just 8 directions with keyboard controls).
Mom's Knife can easily get shot in diagonals if aimed with the mouse (keyboard can only do that with frame-perfect controls).
Those are the only 8 I remember and tested (remembered a few more since the previous post), out of 547. Might test others if they come to mind (or are suggested by others) and update the list accordingly.
