The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

black screen
When I launch the game, a black screen appears, but the sound of the game is heard, but I can not influence the soma game and only occasionally I can start it and play it and by the way there are rare moments that one frame or a bit of animation appears. (I want to add that when the story about my mother and Isaac end then the game saver does not suck the music and I will not forget to say that I play this game for a long time)
I will be very grateful if someone is able to find a solution to the problem.
(if that excuse me for spelling because I'm Russian)

Hello. I just want to add a comment to this, since I finally found out how to make Binding of Isaac stop starting up with a black screen after 3 weeks of messing around. This is for if you have Nvidia.

1. Right-click on your desktop background and go to NVidia Control Panel.
2. Click the left-side tab that says "Manage 3D Settings".
3. Under the Program Settings tab, under "Seleect a Program to Customize, select Binding of Isaac (If it's not on the list, click "Add" and add in Binding of Isaac).
4. Under "Select Preferred Graphics Processor", select Integrated Graphics.
5. Click Apply and test the game.

I don't know if this works for anyone else, but it worked for me and I wouldn't want anyone else going through hell trying to find the solution like I did. Good luck~

I have kind of the same issue like sound running but black screen....I'm trying to find a way to launch it properly, since it was doing just fine before

Similar problem here. I tried many times to launch the game and sometimes I got black screen, sometimes I could see the first picture from credits and then again it freezed, but nothing more. Sound works. I don't know if it's important but it started working like when I got one modification - the HUD one, which shows your stats. I do not have DLC.

Hi there, if you use discord, disable the new overlay (discord had a new update, and isaac can't handle the overlay. Coding in conflict.)
If you don't use discord, try this:

Hey guys, I had the exact same problem after updating my laptop (Windows 10 as well). It seemed to have been a problem with my GPU, or the game having a problem with it. If you have an Nvidia graphics card in your PC, try switching what the game uses from the GPU to onboard graphics provided by processor.

You can do this for other graphics cards as well.
To do this:

1. Right click on desktop and select "Nvidia Control Panel"

2. Click "Manage 3D settings" on the left menu

3. Click "Program Settings"

4. In the first drop-down find The Binding of Isaac

5. Select "Integrated Graphics" in the second drop down

6. Click "Apply" on the bottom right

Hope this fixes everything! Spent around an hour trying to fix this annoying issue yesterday

Works for me too, but I get huge screen tearing, however I can get behind that
This doesn't help me. I don't have NVidia on this PC.
