I really want to get to Isaac so I can finally get the D6, but I keep screwing up.

Just keep trying. As the other guy said, you could restart until you get a really good item on the first floor. Took me forever to get it too, but the D6 is super worth it

I know, but no matter what item I get, I seem to always fail

Blue Baby is really hard, in my opinion, just because of the fact that you don't regen health.
The only thing I could say is "learn the enemy patterns", but even that won't save you from BS rooms...
EDIT : Or you can get really lucky and get Dark Bum

literally just don't take damage and get good items. that's the entire game, don't take damage and get good items

well if dmg ups won't do it try to get items that give you back health and after you got the item "the Ankh" you can use other characters to get far and finish the run as the blue baby

I did blue baby this week again on my second savegame : my Main Problem is health so i restart until prayers card, the relic, book of revs etc First floor.

Angel rooms in General are good as blue baby because of blue hearts and blue torches to bomb.

Abaddon is good if you wanna go for devil deals, so is maw of the void. Dark bum is 👌

I also prioritize tinted rocks over secret rooms because of health.

Farm restock blue hearts from the shop If possible.

First floor library can give you book of revs/satanic bible/book of sin PLUS bookworm transfo, it's like a weaker version of 20/20 right from the start😉
