The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Why do people think the void is a good item
-can make 1-5 room recharge items go up to a 6 room recharge
-turns all items into a meh stat up
It's overrated

it takes the effect of active items, can be used multiple times.
sometimes you get a crap stat up but you can change it to give a different stat up.

The combination of a "Book of Revelation", "Crystal Ball", "Satanic Bible", "Yum Heart","Book of Shadows" is something accessable through this item and you could even blend a "Blank Card" into it, with a "Dads Key" a "Monstros Tooth" a "Pill Mimic" and any activateable item you come along, if the charge is ready. "Experimental Treatment" looses it's danger and it offers a trait unique to it. It's questionable , if it's not one of the most interesting items in the game and if you thought of the possibilities that are only there with this item, like soaking up a 5 Book spawn Library or using it on a "Soymilk" or antigrav tears or "Tiny Planet". In it's potential it surpasses about any activateable item.

Turn a mediocre passive or familiar into a possible DMG or tear stat up. At least twice a floor.
Finding a library with Void gives you lots of valuable book effects.
Can abuse little batteries despite its long cooldown.
It's not the end all of activated items, but it has good potential.
If the void is a good potential item, then 90% of the items are great.

In fact there are only a few horrible items in the game and even those can shine quite nicely, like "Pyromaniac" + "Curse of the Tower" or "Soymilk+Libra"

One could say it's arguably the best active item in the game. IMO it is definitely the best active item in the game. It's not overrated...
