Does store items and stuff at the end of a boss fight count as pick ups? Working on getting my last 5 percent of the achievements

How was it?

Pills , Trinkets, batteries and cards are allowed.

Coins,bombs and keys are not.

Items do not make problems and if I would recall the rules around the hearts I'd let you know.

Acquiring hearts, coins and bombs directly from items are ok, unless they are in pickup form.
Store pickups are not allowed. Store items are ok though. Store cards or pills are ok too.

Eg. Satanic Bible, Yum Heart, Rotten Meat, Libra, Bomb items are ok.
Eg. Pageant Boy, Box, Squeezy, Book of Sin spawned pickups disqualify.

The Match Book item gives you a black heart directly, which is ok for the achievement, but the bomb pickups it spawns will disqualify you.

Did you look up the gamepedia? And use the rule that is written there for the achievement?
It tended to be great in its precission. And I've got instructions that way executable for this achievement back then and unlocked it through keeping the rules shared.
