Ah yes, definitely the trickiest character ATM.
But with a lot of practice even his challenges can be overcome, I´m not a brilliant player but I´ve succeeded in clearing all tasks apart from Hush, Greedier and Delirium.

Keeper is meant to be hard. Get swallowed penny from pots in cellar and First of all kill Isaac as Keeper to start with wooden nickel.

Keeper really is the worst but it becomes easier to deal with when you unlock the wooden nickel by defeating issac. Bomb pots on the two basement levels to try and get swallowed penny as this will also help you a lot. Try to avoid going for devil deals as most of the time you wont be able to take them anyway, go for angel rooms.

Can confirm, this character is trash.

Prioritise beating Isaac to get Wooden Nickle. Will help you out significantly.

You can lower tear delay down to 5, which is preety powerful with triple shot.

Abuse donation machines for extra money and Sacrifice Rooms for Angel Rooms, Items, Mega Satan Key Pieces (and teleport to the Dark Room, if you feel confident)

Avoid Devil Deals unless you have Strength card (gives you pernament health up, Keeper exclusive) or Health Up items lying around.

Eat the pills after you get PHD. You don't want a health down pill.

Find a way to generate money, like Wooden Nickle with upgrades (Batteries, Habit), Swallowed Penny, Head of the Keeper, Piggy Bank. Placenta, Leech, Charm of the Vampire also work.

Finish Pong! challenge to unlock Greed's Gullet. Visit secret rooms to obtain it.

Gnawed Leaf + Sac Dag/Meat Boy also works.



Finally take your time. Eventually you'll get a run with good items.

Or wait for Repentance DLC. I've heard that _Killburn is looking for a way to fix the Keeper.

If you really want to make Keeper more tolerable to play, then I suggest looking for a mod in the workshop called "Keeper Plus". What it does is give Keeper the effect of Greed's Gullet, which is the only way the Keeper can get more than two coin hearts normally. I know some people would say "That's unfair! You shouldn't use mods to make the game easier!", and to that I say, "With the Keeper, the game cheats, so you must cheat back."

the only fair part of the keeper in my eyes is the fact that he starts with a bomb so you can have a chance to get swallowed penny early. piggy bank is also good, along with habit and car battery (if you have the wooden nickel)

Well he does a lot more damage than The Lost for starters. Also if you find Swallowed Penny, all you gotta do is pick the penny up, if you get hit. If you're lucky enough to get Greed's Gullet and Swallowed Penny, you get a close to unkillable character. Swallowed Penny + Restock (+something that can damage you, like spikes) and you can completely plunder any shop and only Missing No. can ruin that combo.

Note that Piggy Bank works a bit different for Keeper, since it's possible for him to get 0-2 coins from a hit instead of 1-2. Same thing with IV-Bag, so you really need Swallowed Penny for the infinite money combo.

I liked playing as Keeper personally a lot more than as The Lost.

I get the Point of Keeper, he's a pure challenge /Luck character and all His stats are really bad.
Nethertheless i got all completion marks with him and it was only horrible cancer to do delirium and mega satan.
