But I prefer Judas because I HATE Azazel's short brim range, especially with future bosses. Yeah, everything is easier to kill, but I hate when I have to get so close to enemies.
If your goal is to unlock everything at some point, you will have to play as all characters (you can't escape this), so asking which one is better is a bit of a nonsense in this context.
For now, I'd advise you to go back to a more regular character (Isaac, Maggy, Cain, and so on). Stop playing with Azazel for a while, learn how to play the game with a regular character and use the knowledge you acquired playing as the flying goat. That's the biggest part of the game, so in the end it's for your own good. :P
According to your profile you played a bit more than 50h. Don't worry about dying with regular characters at that point, you're still quite early in the game. You can't expect doing really well with all characters now, it's normal. ;-)
Which is why when I changed from azazel to more normal characters (after using Samson for a few runs) I started playing Judas.
So in my opinion azazel is “better” but that makes him OP he doesn’t balance damage and health whereas Judas does I think azazel should have something like blue baby where he can’t gain red hearts but can only gain black hearts instead of soul hearts
