How do I get the charge bar back to a bar instead of a circle?

Title. I mean, I think it looks nice and is a good way to make the bar take less space up if the player wants, but is there a way to switch it back to the bar?

Yeah, I liked the bar better as well (it's even called a charge *bar* in the options menu). Don't think we can change it back, though. We'll probably get used to it.

Why would you even want that? For me circles instead of bars is a change that I didnt knew I wanted, so I can not understand you.

I've been playing for ~300 hours or more, personally i've gotten used to the charge bar and the circle for me is too small. Also throws me off when its over my head with mom's knife.

Check the options menu, look for something called "charge bar", and enable it. Then, during a run, get a charging item (like Mom's Knife, Brimtone, whatever).
Only available on Afterbirth+.

Since this thread popped up again: I'm used to the new circle by now. Still like the bar better. It looked worse, yes, but it was a lot easier to see with peripheral vision. Also don't like how items have a charge bar/circle now that don't actually need it (like mom's knife as mentioned above).

I think it's still useful for Mom's Knife though, it helps you to know when you can release to throw it at maximum range. Not that useful, sure, but still. :P
