HOW TO FIX THE GAME NOT LAUNCHING
Hey,

I've figured it out, what to do:

Go to C:\Users\"NAME"\Documents\my games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+

Then open options.ini with the editor and change "EnableMods=1" to "EnableMods=0"

This should deactivate your mods in isaac.
Then start the game and reactivate your mods and try them out.
If they crash the game, leave them deavtivated.

EDIT:

All I did was the following:

1.) Delete my mods folder
2.) Reinstall the game
3.) Delete mods again if they reappear
4.) Change the options.ini and set enablemods=0
5.) Run Isaac in administator mode.

Maybe it also helps to set steam cloud to 0 in options.ini

confirmed this does work. Also try verifying game cache and reinstalling the game completely if doing the ini tweak doesnt fix the problem

reinstalled, verified cache, deactivated mods, unsubscribed from all the mods, still doesn't work :/

Check if your drivers are up to date

Running it with admin privileges fixed it

Doesn't work for me.

What i've done so far:
reinstall
verified game data
deactivated mods
unsubscribed and deleted all mods
set options.ini to enablemods=0
deleted all game data
run as administrator
updated nvidia driver

and between all whose steps i reinstalled the game and tested it again.
It always crashes after the intro... :isaac:

Same here
I even installed the game on my friend's computer to see if it worked but it didn't

interesting so far... I have no problems anymore, can even run certain mods (alphabirth, relevations)

All I did was the following:

1.) Delete my mods folder
2.) Reinstall the game
3.) Delete mods again if they reappear
4.) Change the options.ini and set enablemods=0
5.) Run Isaac in administator mode.

Maybe it is important to note that I didn't start the game until step 5....

i figured it out you have to set steam cloud to 0 in options.ini

After months of encountering Isaac.exe is not working, I uninstalled C++ then reinstalled TBoI and it miraculously worked. Or maybe it's because of the update that fixed the error.

Can confirm It actually made my mods work again. It crashes once, but on the second startup it works like nothing is wrong.

Where in the world do I find C++ in my files.
