The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Void should spawn 100% of the time
♥♥♥♥ the developers for putting in another stupid mechanic, akin to the Greed Machine jamming, where you can't spawn The Void 100% of runs. At the very least, it should be 50% for fighting ??? or The Lamb, and 100% if you fight Mega Satan. This 20-50% chance (I know Hush is 100%, but ♥♥♥♥ having to do a sub-30 minute run every time, it's not feasbile) thing is retarded.

Just another glaring issue with an otherwise great game that really pisses me off.

I have had maybe 6 good runs now, half of which had Mega Satan. NO VOID spawn. That's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiotic, and they need to make that change in the next patch. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to go fight the dude who is supposed to be the ULTIMATE BOSS (not some optional quest) of the game.

Getting to go through the chest en-route to him can be huge buff for your character, which often trivializes the fight. I think that restriction is intended to make it harder to be excessively OP for what's supposed to be the game's final boss challenge.

Devs totally gonna see this thread on steam forums (no)

If you really want to get to the Void, just kill It Lives in under 30 minutes, then take the portal after beating Hush. It's not really a good idea to leave stuff entirely up to chance when going for something specific in Binding of Isaac.

There is definitely a mod for that.

That makes zero sense though, because all you would have to do in order to ameliorate the situation would be make the final boss more difficult, yet possible to spawn every time.

I think he's difficult enough, and should spawn every time. The fact he doesn't is just stupid.

It's frustrating seeing an amazing game have some really bad calls.

Yes he should and he does if you go through Hush, If you can't be there in time, then your build sucks or you're just too slow and thats shouldn't be encouraged
If portal wasn't spawning at all and only after Hush fight, what was your opinion then? Devs just gave you possible fight if you didn't make it in time, they could've give you nothing at all. It's the same if you've complained about not giving you route to the sheol after beating the chest. The only difference in it just a 30 minutes timer, that again, not a game problem.
Mega Satan works that way too, with bad RNG you're getting only devil's deals all the time and can't obtain 2 key pieces, but you still can use some other items (like dad's key) for opening the door. Not like thats a big problem for some reason.

If your run is very good, just go for Hush ffs.
You can get void 100% of the times though, just kill hush and the void portal will spawn.

Locking the 100% chance of Void floor/Delerium to Hush was needlessly gating and tedious. Which makes sense, considering that's one of the common threads in a lot of AB+ design elements.

I think it was a good addition though. If you're not strong enough to kill the hush, you won't survive the void either. And Hush had no purpose left in the game after you beat his unlock.
Chest, Dark Room, Mega Satan, Delirium - all being endgoals.
Boss Rush - see what you can choose from, if there's an item that makes you stronger, go for it.
Hush - no reasonto visit the Hush after getting the unlock, because it's harder than the rest of the bosses (except for Delirium), and it's not an endgame, so they had to give the player a reason to go through the Hush path again.

Hush is a poorly designed fight.

So the current path to Delerium forces a player to play through bad content to get to the content they actually want.

That's real, real dumb.

Beat Mom's Heart without mods and you can use as many mods as you like and still get achievements/unlocks.
