No devil deal with goat head

I beat the boss on caves II as the lost while holding the goat head (regular boss room) and no devil room(or angel room) spawned. I have no mods or anything on. any ideas?

Goat Head does not force a devil/angel room to open if the boss room is a narrow room.

If the boss room was a regular 1x1 room or larger, I have no idea.

Also if the bossroom is "surrunded" by rooms so that there is no room for the devil deal it will not appear. you can see this at the beginning of a floor when devil deal chance drops from 100% to 0% right after the start

it said 100% chance on the side hud and it wasnt a narrow boss room

Happened to me a few times and couldn't figure out why. Each time I have came back using the seed of the run and never could make it appear.

I ended up deciding that some stages just don't have a devil deal, no matter what your chances are, but it still is a very rare occurance. Most player won't face this situation.

Check "Fixed 7 Boss Rooms" mod. Problem is just with some boss rooms, when there's no place for devil deal door (small room with only one possible entrance, blocks/pit on the way, boss spawn point). After installing this mod, devil room always opens for me (wasn't before).
Hope they can fix it in last booster pack.

The problem also exists with some normal sized boss rooms, for no appearant reasons (no blocks in front of the possible Devil Deal door, nothing preventing the player for accessing it if it spawns). The mod only addresses weird sized boss rooms.

But still it's a nice share. The mod is definitely useful !

Then I don't really know. Never happened to me before. Also this mod adresses not only rooms like that. Check screenshots, door spawn point works really weird.
