Book of the Dead - Most Underrated (or Unrated) Item?

I've used this item a frew times and thought it was pretty cool, but also kinda meh...
Once it gets going, it's great projectile protection, protects from some contact damage, and you occasionally get some shooter buddies. Not bad, but I'd rather keep my D6.
...Then I picked it up as The Lost.
HOLY! CRAP! Why did I never realize this before?! Why isn't everybody talking about this?! This one item alone makes you practically invincible!! This is a game-winner for Lost and Keeper. Forget the Gnawed Leaf + auto-damage familiar combo! Book of the Dead is the one and only item Lost needs in his life.
