Does modding disable achievements?

I know stuff like the MissingHUD2 (stats overlay) doesn't do it but I mean mods that alter the game files themselves.

No, no mods disable achievements but the mods that are ment to disable achievements.

Mods prevent all unlocks until the Heart is killed once. Afterwards, they don't prevent anything, no matter what they do.

you actually only need to kill mom not the hearth

you actually only need to kill mom not the hearth

Used to be the Heart, since booster 2 until booster 5, from what I gathered and if I recall correctly. Booster 5 didn't exist when this thread was made.

I can confirm now, you only need to kill for the first time Mom's foot, I tried.

You have to kill it on a regular run. No seed, no mod, no challenge.

It's a fully singleplayer game. If a player wants to ruin their own experience, or just enjoy the game the way they want, why would anyone care? And if anyone does, why would the player care about them?
