Game closes right after opening

i open the game, it load for a second, i see a black screen. and then it closes. can someone please help me I've looked online and tried a ton of stuff none of it worked. i literally just bought this game.

Same problem, except I've had the game for years. i uninstalled and reinstalled. it's still happening. I have rebirth, afterbirth, and afterbirth+. ive tried it from steam, my desktop, ive uninstalled mods, it isnt changing anything. it always just opens the game, goes fullscreen, then closes

Discord's overlay is known to crash AB+. Disable it entirely, then try again.
No guarantee it's your problem, but it's worth a try.

Odd. Instead of closing instantly, I get a "isaac is not responding" message.

I had the same problem, I fixed that by turning of my wifi when playing isaac,not always works but most of the time I can play it

I'm on windows 7.

so you can't turn off wifi on your pc like I can in windows 10?
I usually turn it off and then I can play Isaac without a problem

I'm not quite sure. I'll ask me father, he's a lot better with computer stuff than me.

I fixed mine! if you have any mods installed try unsubscribing from them then going into your files, go to documents, go to binfing of isac afterbirth+ mods folder and delete any folders in there. thats what i did and it worked

Everything possible to fix the game I have done but nothing works after opening the game when jumping the scene closes the game

Yeah had the same problem, and if you still wanna keep ur old mods one of the files in the files he mentions has the logs in it so you can see exactly which mod caused it, for me it was the binding of undertale, IDK why (the file is just the afterbirth+ folder not the mods one, that has the logs in it)
