Maxing Out Greed Machine Tips
Hello! this explains itself, but for those who are confused I'm here asking for tips and characters for maxing out the greed machine. The way where you use glowing hourglass doesn't work after the Afterbirth plus expansion, because after 5 uses of it it turns into the normal hourglass. Thanks in advance for the tips!

Make sure you use different characters. The more often you use one, the quicker the machine jams. Also, the glowing hourglass doesn't turn into the normal one anymore. But it's of no use to greed runs anymore either since it resets the machine as well when resetting the room.

i have an xbox controller synced up. im trying to play co-op. When i start a game with the controller i hit enter on the keyboard but nothing happens. Both the keyboard and the controller sync to player one. Any help on how to fix it?

My favorit champion was Lilith. She's super strong thanks to the possibility of using box of friends multiple times on the same streak and still have the charge rdy for the next floor. At a certain amount of dmg you also get a rnd familiar from a chosen set of options, which is another bonus. I like azazel as well, since he's a super strong character. And though the machine goes down to only a 20% chance of not jamming if I'm right you can be lucky and insert over 20 coins in 1 try.

Here are some of the things I used:
  • Use different characters. For each character, the chance for the Greed Machine to jam is stored separately, and increases as you insert coins into the machine with that character. Lilith and Azazel are very good bets for this (but I'd advise against using Azazel in Greedier mode).

  • Make sure you've got something like a 2 of Diamonds card as you enter the fight. As soon as you drop to 49 coins, use it: and blammo, you've got another 49 coins to possibly stuff into that thing. Even better if you've got any of Tarot Cloth, Blank Card (with Car Battery: even better) or a Jera rune you've also managed to sneak in there. I once got all of them in a run (barring Jera), and my machine count went up by 100+.

  • Play on Greedier mode. This might sound counter-intuitive, but hear me out:

In the second phase, a common tactic (I think, as it's fairly easy to pull off and is decently time-efficient if you've got some OK damage) is to kite Ultra Greedier into the corners by making him use his stomping attack (his impromptu The Cage stomp). When he jumps from corner to corner, he drops explosive coins, which in turn have a chance to spawn Pennies, Nickels or Dimes. You can then pick those up in the next corner-to-corner sweep, bolstering your coin count.
Hope this helps: good luck on filling up the machine!
