Afterbirth + save file location?
Hi guys, i want to install revelations to hold me over until receptance comes out, but i'm having a bit of trouble finding my afterbirth + save file because i want to back it up before installing a large mod like this. I know there is save data in the mygames folder but theres so many files in there that im unsure which one is actually my save data. If someone could help that would be great :)

The ones in Documents are just backups automatically created by AB+. Check their date of creation (or their name, it's written in there too) to know when it made them.

The save files the game reads are located there:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[some number]\250900\remote
(Adapt to wherever you installed Steam.)

AB+ saves start with "abp_" ("ab_" for Afterbirth, nothing for Rebirth). "Gamestate" are runs started but not finished (the "continue" option in the menu), "persistantgamedata" are the saves themselves, 1-2-3 tells on which save slot it is.

Thanks a lot, man! I once copied half of my hard drive to transition safe states but couldn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ find the Isaac ones. Had beaten Delirious with everyone (except "The Forgotten" who wasn't included in the game yet). Been over a year since I last played Isaac and steam seemed to have saved an older file in the cloud so this spares me SOOOOOO much time and rage. Once again, thanks a bunch!

What do you mean by [some number] when talking about the files? What am I meant to put there?

This number is tied to your Steam account. You can't just guess it.
Just go there manually, step by step.

File explorer, go to the highest step (C:/), follow the folders one by one.

Look at the images. That's "file explorer". You may not have known its name, but I'm fairly sure you used it before.

Left of the window, you should see something called "this PC". Click on it, and you should see something with "(C:)" in its name. Then follow the rest of the file path.
