Best way to get to Delirium?

I'm playing through as the Lost, and I can't decide what the best way to get to Delirium is. I can either go through Hush for 100% chance, or Mega Satan for a ~63% chance (counting all the portal opens since It Lives).

The Hush is consistent with its portals, and it gives 2 treasure rooms + a shop.

Mega Satan gives me 2 items from the bosses leading to it, and no shops. But, there are more chances for angel/devil rooms. If I go for Mega Satan, I'd probably need to be running angel rooms.

Which route is better?

You also get any item that you may find on the 3 more floors, the 4 items from the chests in the chest, and many more that you can get if you beat all the rooms in the chest before killing mega Satan.

All depends on your loadout. If you can mop the floor with Hush already, then that is the better option. It would be guaranteed. If you feel like you can barely scrape by Hush/Delirium back to back, then it's better to take Mega Satan to get stronger. I personally go for Hush if I want a Delirium kill.


Using sacrifice rooms to get key pieces is better for not having to go out of your way for often weaker Angel Deals.

I also personally go for Hush. You should be able to get pretty strong from free devil deals, as long as you have a bit of luck getting them to open up. A goat head here is a huge help, so is a D6 if you happen to get it to reroll useless items for the lost, same with the void, consume them for stat bonuses.

Try to hang on to a perthro rune or dice shard for right when you enter hush's chambers so you can reroll those treasure chest items or treasure room items.

Also, save all your Joker cards for AFTER you beat the boss, if a devil room opens up great, if it doesn't, then use your Joker card.

Nothing sucks more than getting a good run with the lost, going all the way to mega satan, owning him and then getting no portal.
