Afterbirth+, can i unlock the d20 in normal?

I know, i suck and everything, but hey, i suck at this game, still i want "complete" it.
To unlock the d20 i've to use isaac? or can i even use magdalene (es.)?

And one more question, a bit off topic: how good is antibirth? Is it better for newcomers to play it?

The D20 is unlocked by beating the boss of the chest as Isaac.
Antibirth is very, very hard, especially for new players.

You must use isaac, Antibirth is not noob-frinedly, it has tough gameplay and strange mechanics

Normal is enough, yes.

it is? i thouht you only unlocked stuff in hardmode(besides greed mode and moms heart/it lives)

You thought wrong.

The only unlocks which requires to play on hard are unlocked by killing the Heart, Greedier, and "all marks on hard". All others can be unlocked on normal.
